Dear Readers,
Something strange happened in the past few weeks. I no longer feel stuck.
I’m not sure what happened, but all of a sudden, I feel like my life makes sense, and I am right where I need to be.
Taiwan makes sense.
I am here to rest, take a break from the US, spend time with family and live life within the comforts of them, and take time to figure out what I really want to do. I am making new friends, getting time to explore my hobbies, and learning how to be independent in my relationship.
I am in the middle ground, I am in transition, and that’s okay.
I have no idea where I’m heading in my life and I don’t even really have a plan. I’m not sure what I’m doing with my career, with my personal life, or where I’ll be heading in a few years. It’s a scary feeling, kind of like being in free-fall on a roller coaster.
But-that’s okay, I tell myself.
I’m here, I’m happy, and things are good :)
I’ve been making the most out of my weekends and free time recently, really pushing myself out there to make plans with new friends. I’ve been hiking the past two weekends and have really been enjoying it.
Isn’t this scenery beautiful? We have been blessed with good weather after weeks (or months) of rain consecutively, so I’ve been taking advantage of it.
Apart from hiking, I’ve also started to vlog. Vlogging is something I’ve always wanted to do, but felt too awkward or scared to start.
I’m only starting on my iPhone now, but I did pull out my phone randomly to record a narration of myself going somewhere. It’s not a lot, but it is a start!
And as for my full-time corporate job, it is still pretty boring and unfulfilling. But I just try to make the most of it by reading, writing, drawing and doing whatever I want.
Here is a sunset from my commute heading home after work. How beautiful! I am reminded that there are many small moments of beauty to notice.
I’ve also been obsessed with this song and even had a midnight session where I played on my piano and sang a bit, haha.
And The Louvre by Lorde. I know it is old by this point, but it’s definitely one of my top songs of all time. And it sounds ~majestic~ when you are biking at night in the summer heat.
Again, thanks for joining me on this journey. Taipei has been good for me, and I hope you are also enjoying your life wherever you are.
With much love,
margherita-x
